Rev. Romeo R. Velasco BTh, MDiv.

Rev. Romy is married to Ms. Chona Reyes from Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines in May of 2019. Rev. Romy entered the ministry in 1970 and has been a pastor of the Methodist Church for 28 years in the US and 16 years in the Philippines a total of 44 years of service. He served God with joy and energy, talents and skills, passion and commitment to sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. His pastoral services included episcopal areas of the Philippines, West Ohio Conference, Virginia Conference and California Nevada Conferences.

After several appointments in the Philippines from 1976-1987, he moved to Ohio in 1988 and went to school and earned a Master of Divinity in 1991 at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, He served several appointments in Ohio from 1988 to 2000. He moved to California in 2000 and served several appointments from 2000 to 2015 in the California Nevada Conference. He retired early at the age of 62   and moved back to Ohio in July 2015. His motto has been “once a buckeye, always a buckeye”   In December 15, 2015 he landed a part-time job as pastor of Wagram United Methodist Church which now joined the Global Methodist Church with the new name Wagram Community Church, till present.
